From complexity to efficiency with compliance automation
Dive deep into the latest European compliance requirements, such as DORA and NIS2, and discover how automation can bring clarity and efficiency to your processes. This session will break down the technical complexities of these regulations, providing clear insights and practical strategies for compliance automation. Learn how automation tools can help you streamline your processes, reduce manual effort, and meet the requirements efficiently.
With real-world examples and actionable insights, you’ll leave equipped with enough knowledge to start transforming compliance efforts from a reactive chore into a proactive strategy that supports your organization’s goals and enhances overall operational efficiency.
🎤 Stanislav Láznička (Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft)
Writing a real Kubernetes controller
The controller design pattern is widely used throughout the Kubernetes codebase and ecosystem. After all, the operators that have become increasingly popular over the last few years are typically just a bunch of controllers glued together with some good old software engineering magic.
This leads people to try to simplify their lives by writing frameworks that are supposed to help build controllers easily — controller runtime stands out amongst these. However, none of these frameworks impressed the actual Kubernetes authors enough for them to start using them inside of Kubernetes. Quite the contrary, controller runtime is often frowned upon.
In this talk, we will ignore all the frameworks and simplifications and dissect the Kubernetes codebase to see what’s inside a real Kubernetes controller and how to write one using only the official Kubernetes client library.
🎤 Adam Hamšík (CEO at Labyrinth Labs)
Multi-Tenant SaaS Applications in Kubernetes: Strategies for Isolation and Efficiency
Running multi-tenant SaaS applications in Kubernetes can be quite challenging. Ensuring security and data isolation is crucial to keep user data safe, especially in dynamic and distributed systems. Alongside these concerns, managing costs, automating processes, and streamlining development workflows are essential for maintaining efficiency and scalability. In this presentation, we’ll explore these challenges and discuss practical strategies to tackle them, helping you build robust and secure multi-tenant environments in Kubernetes.
